Violet’s session is a perfect example of one of my absolute favorite types of shoots: two locations that show two sides of who you are. We started downtown in Vancouver for a more urban, fashion forward vibe where Violet’s personal style really shines. Think boots, jewelry, accessories, a slightly grungy edge, and then the cutest casual jean and striped top look that felt effortless and cool. She knows her style, and it shows. Then we shifted into her softer side with fields and the beach at Frenchman’s Bar. Floaty, natural, relaxed, and confident in a totally different way. This kind of shoot is one I recommend to almost everyone because every girl has more than one side. There’s the laid back, sneakers and denim version of you, and there’s the softer, romantic, open air version too. Violet owned both. Her expressions, her serious moments, her confidence, all of it felt so true to her. If you want senior photos that actually feel like you and show your full personality, this is the kind of session that does exactly that.
